Key Features

Remote Software Updates

Mole IQ is Wi-Fi capable, allowing remote health monitoring and software updates in order to stay ahead of downtime.

Full Duplex Communication

Mole IQ features a 920MHz receiver and is compatible with WiFi smart devices, with an open-source API for seamless integration with existing WMS and WES systems.

End of Rail Sensors

Whether handling standard or unique pallet sizes, Mole IQ adjusts effortlessly, optimizing space and streamlining operations.

Durable Build Quality

Constructed from high-grade materials, Mole IQ is designed to endure the toughest conditions in diverse warehousing environments, promising longevity and reliability.

Consistent Duty Cycle

With a 40% rated duty cycle, it delivers 60 seconds of continuous operation and 90 seconds of rest, balancing performance with longevity.

Innovative Features

Skymesh Network

SkyMesh is a proprietary warehouse control software solution engineered to manage and optimize Mole IQ automated storage and retrieval systems.

It monitors pallet movements, real-time diagnostics, and performance analytics. The human-machine interface enables direct control and live monitoring, increasing throughput, reducing dwell time, and maintaining consistent flow in high-density storage.

Patented Magnetic Latching System

Two high-strength auto-latching electromagnets lock the Mole IQ shuttle to the lift truck forks upon engagement of the forks. The magnets activate automatically, maximizing safety by eliminating any risk of operator error during transport.

Patented Pallet Spacing System

Frazier’s patented Pallet Spacing System ensures precise pallet alignment with uniform 6-inch horizontal and vertical flue spaces—the only system guaranteeing full fire code compliance. This design keeps warehouses compliant while eliminating the need for costly in-rack sprinkler systems in deep-lane storage.

Pallet Shuffle

The Mole IQ shuttle can be directed to automatically reposition remaining pallets in order to maximize product staging.

Full Two-Way Communication

Bi-directional communication over a secure Wi-Fi network enables simultaneous sending and receiving of data between the Mole IQ shuttle and its control device, ensuring seamless and real-time operation. Additionally, backward-compatible RF communication provides legacy support for flexible control options.

Technical Excellence

Mole IQ is powered by a single high-efficiency Lithium Iron (LiFePO4) 75Ah battery that delivers extended operating range and reliable performance. Wi-Fi-enabled SkyMesh monitoring can provide real-time visibility into battery health for smarter, uninterrupted operations.

Fully backward compatible with your existing Pallet Mole racking systems and Pallet Mole fleets, but smarter!

Ensures pallets are placed with uniform 6″ spacing horizontally and vertically, keeping your deep lane storage fire code compliant.

Magnets on the Mole IQ undercarriage auto-engage when the shuttle is lifted by a fork truck, providing security and stability during its transportation.

Mole IQ can be used to quickly tally pallets in storage lanes for efficient inventory management.

With Wi-Fi controls and the SkyMesh Network, operators can monitor an entire fleet of Mole IQ shuttles on a single screen for streamlined management.

Frazier’s rack system is engineered for the Mole IQ shuttle, creating an integrated solution that allows users to take full advantage of key system features.

Shuttle Components

Emergency Stop Button

Ensures that emergency stops of the Mole IQ shuttle can be easily executed within reach of the shuttle. Emergency Stop Buttons are located on both sides of Mole IQ.

Wheels

The Mole IQ shuttle runs smoothly along the inner lane thanks to these wheels, which are optimized to minimize noise and service life.

Lithium Iron (LiFePO4) 75Ah Battery

A single Lithium Iron (LiFePO4) 75Ah Battery is used to operate Mole IQ. Frazier offers a 5-year warranty on the shuttle battery.

Two batteries per unit are typically supplied for up to 24/7 operations. The batteries provide ample run times for ambient to freeze applications.

End of Rail Sensors

Keeps the Mole IQ shuttle and pallets perfectly positioned within the racking’s rail system.

Flat Deck Lifting Mechanism

Four heavy duty ball bearings on each corner of the platform working with a screw-drive lift system respond to raise the deck lid up. Center stringers or blocks on pallets directly transfer the lifting force to the entire pallet.

Fork Pockets with Magnetic Latching System

The undercarriage of the shuttle body has been designed with standard “fork pockets” in order to keep it properly nested while being handled by a lift truck. These fork pockets are also home to the magnetic latching system.

Rack System Features & Options

Patented Two Wide Design

Frazier’s patented Two Wide Mole IQ racking system option is designed for clients who wished to achieve greater productivity through pairing its use with a “Single-Double” lift truck attachment.

Proven in numerous installations throughout North America, this configuration also known as “Double Wide” affords clients the flexibility to store either single pallets or two pallets at once in addition to other benefits.

Patented Safety Grate

A welded assembly that consists of a series of bars – that are actually angle irons with an upward facing flat surface – to prevent the shuttle from falling through.

While Mole IQ already boasts a Patented Magnetic Safety Latching System, the Safety Grate affords added rest assurance against rare instances when the shuttle could be mispositioned or inadvertently “scraped” off the lift truck forks.

Patented Two Wide Entry Guide Design

Yellow entry guides at the loading face of a two wide system that help operators – especially at higher levels with limited visibility – accurately position pallets onto the rails of the Mole IQ rack system.

Floor Level Rail Protection System

When moving the Mole IQ unit between the racking’s lanes, the operator must target the area underneath the rack systems’ rails for fork placement. While identifying this area may seem simple, ensure the fork’s tips do not catch under the rails may be difficult due to obstructed visibility at floor level caused by the pallet loads.

Frazier offers an Optional Floor Level Rail Protection System to aid operators, reduce the risk of damage to the floor level rails, and improve productivity. This wraps the bottom of the system’s rails with thick steel plate anchored to the floor. In fast-paced environments in particular, this gives the operator easy targets for fork placement and peace of mind against rail damage.

No Bottom Beam Design

Frazier’s Mole IQ racking with an Optional No Bottom Beam Design allows floor scrubbers to travel directly down the racking lanes, enabling improved sanitation and easier cleaning access throughout the operation.

How It Works

1

Semi-Automated Shuttle

Mole IQ runs underneath the pallet loads on rails, delivering and extracting pallets within a deep lane rack system.

2

Raise the Deck Lid

The deck lid as a whole picks up the load and as a result, lift performance is not dependent on the strength of the pallet.

3

Begin Operation

Using a RF controller or Wi-Fi compatible device, the operator can instruct the electro-mechanical platform to lift, lower, or shuttle pallets to the desired position.

4

Transfer the Load

This lift system also transfers the weight of the load to the wheels of the unit; consequently, the body of the unit des not carry the weight or assume the wear and tear associated with it.
