Wire Screen Versus Wire Mesh Deck

Released at MODEX 2020, Frazier Industrial Company’s Wire Screen has enjoyed success across multiple industries, including the Food, Beverage, Retail and Manufacturing sectors. The Wire Screen’s design utilizes an internal flare “tuck-in” style deck bed, as opposed to the industry standard external flare style. It was conceived to create a solution for user issues – warping wire beds and jagged pieces of wire – commonly associated with the industry standard design.

Over 100 companies utilizing the Wire Screen have found success increasing safety, maintaining warehouse capacity as well as eliminating costly deck replacement within their operations.

Frazier’s largest Wire Screen project to date encompassed approximately 15,000 of these “tuck-in” style decks, half of which were for a new Frazier racking system and half of which were to retrofit an existing Frazier racking system. The Wire Screen, however, remains a viable solution for applications of all sizes.  Over 100 companies utilizing the Wire Screen have found success increasing safety, maintaining warehouse capacity as well as eliminating costly deck replacement within their operations.

For operations not using the Wire Screen, “The biggest warehousing challenges faced with using the industry standard wire mesh deck design are wires bending under the weight of products and being torn apart by fork trucks when loading,” explains Executive Vice President, Domenick Iellimo. “These two challenges result in the further issue of lost capacity. Furthermore, the wires can become jagged when they are warped. This creates the potential to cut the clothing of warehouse workers, or worse, cause an injury. The new “tuck-in” design immediately eliminates these risks to provide greater safety. It is valuable to warehouses in any industry, especially those that include hand-stacking or egress via tunnels as part of their applications.”

By eliminating the need for frequent replacement of warped wire decks – which can result in high expenses and storage down-times – the Wire Screen is also a more cost-effective solution in the long-term than its predecessor, a great value to warehouse leadership.

Whether a hand-stacking aficionado or full pallet storage pro, Frazier’s Wire Screen design is for you. Come see and learn more about the benefits of using the Wire Screen design during MODEX 2022. Frazier is located at Booth #B9619 at the Georgia World Congress Center from March 28th – 31st.
